Power45 tested by EasyBiken

Power and comfort in the test

The Power45 was put through its paces as part of a test by EasyBiken. The magazine scrutinised the S-Pedelec from AureusDrive and recorded some interesting impressions that shed light on the model from various angles. With its powerful 1200 Wh battery and virtually silent hub motor, the Power45 ensures a pleasant and relaxed riding experience.

Battery power and motor – power and endurance

A particular focus of the test was on the battery performance of the Power45. The 1200 Wh battery offers a high energy capacity and provides assistance up to a speed of 45 km/h. According to EasyBiken, the battery sits firmly in the frame, which ensures stability, but requires a little dexterity when removing it. The colour display was positively highlighted: It provides a good overview of speed, battery status, motor temperature and other important data.

Riding experience – relaxed and quiet on the road

EasyBiken describes the riding experience of the Power45 as particularly pleasant. The quiet hub motor ensures a smooth and almost silent ride, which the testers describe as a ‘flow moment’. On the route over the Albis Pass, the Power45 was even able to impress on climbs at a speed of 30 km/h without requiring a great deal of effort. The 203 mm disc brakes, the lockable suspension fork and the wide 2-inch tyres offer additional safety and stability, especially at higher speeds.

Battery reserve mode – a special challenge

The Power45’s battery reserve mode was also tested in the test. As soon as the battery charge drops below 10 %, the assistance is reduced to 250 watts, which noticeably reduces the speed. This was described by the testers as a small challenge, which shows that it is important to keep an eye on the battery level, especially on longer distances.

Conclusion and small areas for improvement

The Power45 from AureusDrive leaves a strong impression in the EasyBiken test. In particular, the powerful support of the 1200 Wh battery, the quiet riding experience and the well thought-out equipment with robust brakes and shock-absorbing suspension fork make it an ideal companion for commuters and everyday riders. The quiet hub motor has been described as pleasant and almost meditative, which makes for a relaxed yet dynamic ride. The easy-to-read colour display and the long battery range were also positively highlighted.

The testers saw some small areas for optimisation in the length of the front mudguard and the Q-factor, which could make the pedalling experience even more ergonomic. Nevertheless, the positive characteristics of the Power45 clearly outweigh the negative ones. It offers riding fun, performance and comfort in an e-bike that impresses with its fair price and cuts an excellent figure both in city traffic and on longer journeys.
